BUFFALO 7 – Washington 4… Dylan Cozens scored three goals and assisted on another in leading the Sabres past the Capitals. Vinnie Hinostroza added a goal and an assist.

MINNESOTA 3 – Columbus 2 (OT)… Kirill Kaprizov scored all three goals as the Wild came from two goals down after two periods to upend the Blue Jackets. Kaprizov found the net twice over the first six minutes of the third and added the game-winner at 4:40 of overtime.

N.Y. Islanders 4 – Winnipeg 0… Islanders goalie Semyon Varlamov stopped all 23 shots in shutting out the Jets. Bo Horvat’s shorthanded goal in the first period provided all the offense New York needed.

N.Y. RANGERS 5 – Los Angeles 2… Vincent Trocheck scored back-to-back goals 1:35 apart early in the second period to give the Rangers a 3-0 lead and they never looked back in downing the Kings to snap a four-game skid. Adam Fox had two assists.

PITTSBURGH 7 – Tampa Bay 3… Six different players found the net in the second period as the Penguins buried the Lightning. Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Brian Dumoulin each had a goal and an assist.

Nashville 6 – ARIZONA 2… Roman Josi netted two goals and set up another to lead the Predators in their thrashing of the Coyotes. Matt Duchene had a goal and two assists.

TORONTO 5 – Seattle 1… The Maple Leafs breezed past the Kraken after spotting them an early goal. Auston Matthews capped the scoring with his 27th and 28th goals of the season.
