ROLLA, Mo. – Truman State Men’s basketball went into Rolla and came away with an 89-80 win against Missouri S&T.
Hunter Strait and Elijah Hazekamp led the way, with Strait scoring 24 points and Hazekamp scoring 21. Strait went 9-16 from the field with five rebounds. Hazekamp shot 6-12 with four 3-pointers and eight boards.
Missouri S&T went into the half with a two-point lead, up 42-40.
Truman outscored S&T 44-38 in the second half, shooting 13-25 and going 14-17 from the line. Truman’s 22 made free throws were the difference in the game, as the Miners made only six on 10 attempts.
