Blues Beat Predators

ST. LOUIS 5 – Nashville 2… Robert Thomas and Brandon Saad each had a goal and an assist as the Blues downed the Predators. Tyler Pitlick assisted on two goals.

 

CAROLINA 5 – Minnesota 2… The Hurricanes came alive to score three goals in the second period and added to more in the third to bury the Wild. Martin Necas, Jalen Chatfield and Brady Skjei each had a goal and an assist. Frederik Andersen made 30 saves at goal.

Anaheim 5 – COLUMBUS 3… The Ducks scored five straight goals to overcome a three-goal second-period deficit and upend the Blue Jackets. Trevor Negras netted a tie-breaking goal early in the third period and set up a goal. Cam Fowler also had a goal and an assist.

Florida 6 – MONTREAL 2… Matthew Tkachuk found the net twice on power plays to highlight a five-goal second period that carried the Panthers past the Canadiens. Sam Reinhart scored a goal and assisted on two others. Sam Bennet added a goal and an assist. Aleksander Barkov had two assists.

Boston 3 – N.Y. RANGERS 1… The Bruins got goals from Pavel Sacha, Patrice Bergeron and Connor Clifton in breezing past the Rangers. Brad Marchand assisted on two goals. Goalie Jeremy Swayman stopped 31 shots.

Chicago 4 – PHILADELPHIA 1… The Blackhawks breezed past the Flyers after spotting them an early goal. Jonathan Toews and Reese Johnson netted second-period goals. Petr Mrazek made 37 saves at goal

TORONTO 4 – Winnipeg 1… Auston Matthews scored back-to-back goals and Mitchell Marner scored short-handed in the second period as the Maple Leafs shot their way past the Jets. Goalie Ilya Samsonov made 37 saves.

BUFFALO 3 – N.Y. Islanders 2 (OT)… Dylan Cozens found the net 12 seconds into overtime to lift the Sabres over the Islanders. Victor Olofsson scored a tying goal midway through the third period. Alex Tuch also scored for Buffalo.

Washington 4 – ARIZONA 0… Dylan Strome netted two goals and the Capitals blanked the Coyotes.  Tom Wilson had a goal and an assist. Goalie Darcy Kuemper stopped all 26 shots.

EDMONTON 5 – Tampa Bay 3… The Oilers recovered to beat the Lightning after letting a two-goal lead slip away. Connor McDavid scored a go-ahead goal early in the third period and Zach Hyman added his second goal into an empty-net. Ryan McLeod and Leon Draisaitl netted first-period goals.

SEATTLE 4 – New Jersey 3 (OT)… Andre Burakovsky’s goal at 1:10 of overtime sent the Kraken past the Devils. Ryan Donato found the net twice to give Seattle a two-goal lead that it couldn’t hold.

Detroit 3 – VEGAS 2… The Red Wings took a two-goal lead into the third period and held off the Golden Knights. Joe Veleno netted the decisive goal midway through the second period. Goalie Ville Husso made 33 stops.

Dallas 4 – LOS ANGELES 0… Stars goalie Scott Wedgewood stopped all 33 shots in shutting out the Kings. Tyler Seguin scored a pair of first-period goals to provide all the offense Dallas needed.
