Lady Tigers Take Down Hannibal

The Kirksville Lady Tigers played a nice game for all four quarters Friday and beat Hannibal 64-52. KHS played even with the Lady Pirates for most of the game until they outscored Hannibal in the fourth quarter 20-10 to pull away. KHS played hard-nosed, drawing several fouls in the fourth quarter and sinking critical free throws down the stretch. Kirksville had four players in double figures, led by Elli Porter with 17, 15 from Paishynce Fouts who played a nice game and earned our Shayne Thomas Shelter Insurance Player of the Game, ten points each for Channing Totta and Jada Jackson. KHS held onto the ball well, only committing 10 turnovers. KHS climbs to 7-7 on the year, 4-1 in the NCMC. Next, it’s a quick road trip to Macon Tuesday for a varsity doubleheader. 6:05 on KIRX.
