Bulldog Men Fall To William Jewell

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State Men’s basketball took a 73-64 home loss to William Jewell out the GLVC.

Truman went into the half facing a seven-point deficit. The Bulldogs shot 8-27 (29.63%), while William Jewell shot 10-30 (33.33%).

The second half was close, as Truman’s 45 points were two shy of William Jewell’s 47. Truman shot much better in the second half, hitting 11 of their 25 shots (44%) and 5-10 (50%) from three. Despite fighting hard, the Cardinals got the best of the Bulldogs.

Xavier Hall led in points for the second-straight game, dropping 15. Hall tallied four rebounds and two assists.

Elijah Hazekamp was second in scoring with 12, followed by Hunter Strait with 11, and Dylan Peeters with 10.

Truman plays Rockhurst next on Saturday, January 14th, at 3 p.m.
