The Kirksville Tigers played hard against a very fundamentally sound Fulton team, but couldn’t find an answer for Walker Gohring and the Hornets beat KHS 78-68. The Tigers only trailed by four at the break 35-31, got the deficit to one in the third quarter, but Gohring was 10 out of 12 at the stripe in the fourth quarter, and those 10 free throws would prove to be the winning margin. Gohring finished with 34 points. Keaton Anderson led the Tigers with 27 points and was 8 out of 10 at the free throw line. Isaac Danielson scored 21 points. KHS falls to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the NCMC. The Tigers will be part two of Tuesday’s home doubleheader against Marshall.
