Carolina 6 – ST. LOUIS 4… The Hurricanes skated past the Blues after spotting them an early two-goal lead. Jordan Martinook scored three goals. Brent Burns had a goal and an assist.
Colorado 6 – BUFFALO 4… Nathan Mackinnon and J.T. Compher scored two goals apiece and the Avalanche outshot the Sabres. Mackinnon had three assists while Compher added two.
Nashville 4– NEW JERSEY 3 (OT)… Ryan Johansen found the net with his second goal of the game 33 seconds into overtime to lift the Predators over the Devils. Johansen opened the scoring 11 seconds into the contest. Mikael Granlund scored a tying goal with 10 seconds left in regulation.
Tampa Bay 4 – PHILADELPHIA 1… Nicholas Paul netted two goals as the Lightning breezed past the Flyers. Corey Perry had two assists. Steven Stamkos recorded his 1000th career point with an assist.
PITTSBURGH 4 – Vegas 3… Jake Guentzel and Kasperi Kapanen scored back-to-back goals midway through the third period to rally the Penguins past the Golden Knights. Brock McGinn and Rickard Rakell scored second-period goals.
MINNESOTA 5 – Edmonton 3… Frederick Gaudreau scored a go-ahead goal to cap a three-goal third period and the Wild scored twice more to put away the Oilers. Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and two assists.
DALLAS 5 – Anaheim 0… Stars goalie Jake Oettinger stopped all 31 shots in shutting out the Ducks. Jason Robertson scored three goals to record his third career hat trick. Miro Heiskanen assisted on three goals.
Montreal 2 – CALGARY 1… Cole Caulfield scored a tie-breaking power-play goal early in the third period and the Canadiens made it stand in holding off the flames. Juraj Slafkovsky scored 13 seconds into the game to open the scoring. Sean Monahan assisted on both Montreal goals. Jake Allen stopped 45 shots at goal.
SEATTLE 3 – Washington 2 (OT)… The Kraken erased a 2-0 second-period deficit in outlasting the Capitals. Matty Beniers scored the winning goal seven seconds into overtime. Yanni Gourde netted a tying goal with 2:27 left in regulation. Jaden Schwartz put Seattle on the board with a power-play goal in the second.
Florida 5 – VANCOUVER 1… Sam Bennett scored a pair of goals and the Panthers breezed past the Canucks. Matthew Tkachuk had a goal and two assists. Goalie Spencer Knight made 32 saves.
LOS ANGELES 5 – Arizona 3… The Kings closed with three straight goals to overcome a two-goal second-period deficit and top the Coyotes. Anze Kopitar’s second goal of the game broke a tie early in the third period. Kevin Fiala added an empty-netter.
