St. Louis 3 – SAN JOSE 1… Robert Thomas scored his 20th goal to extend his points streak to 15 games and the Blues got the better of the Sharks. Dakota Joshua also scored and Pavel Buchnevich added an empty-netter. Jordan Binnington made 20 stops at goal.
Philadelphia 6 – MONTREAL 3… The Flyers doubled up on the Canadiens to end a six-game losing streak. James van Reimsdyk scored two goals and assisted on another. Ivan Provorov added a goal and an assist. Bobby Brink set up two goals. Goalie Martin Jones made 31 saves.
FLORIDA 5 – Detroit 2… The Panthers clinched first place in the Atlantic Division and the top spot in the Eastern Conference by skating past the Red Wings for their 12th straight win. Mason Marchment had a goal and an assist. Jonathan Huberdeau had two assists and moved into a tie with Connor McDavid of idle Edmonton for the league lead in points at 113. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 28 shots at goal.
Buffalo 5 – NEW JERSEY 2… Kyle Okposo and Alex Tuch scored short-handed goals less than a minute apart to open the scoring in the second period, Rasmus Dahlin found the net four minutes late and the Sabres coasted past the Devils. Goalie Craig Anderson made 31 saves.
PITTSBURGH 4 – Boston 0… Penguins goalie Casey DeSmith stopped all 52 shots in shutting out the Bruins. Jake Guentzel capped a hat trick with an empty-netter, giving him 40 goals on the season.
CAROLINA 4 – Winnipeg 2… The Hurricanes came from two goals down late in the second period to upend the Jets. Teuvo Teravainen had a goal and an assist.
N.Y. Rangers 6 – N.Y. ISLANDERS 3… Andrew Copp scored three first-period goals, Chris Kreider got his 51st of the season and the Rangers skated past the Islanders. Ryan Strome had a goal and an assist. Artemi Panarin assisted on four goals and Adam Fox added three assists. Goalie Alexandar Georgiev stopped 26 shots.
TAMPA BAY 8 – Toronto 2… Alex Killorn and Ross Colton each scored two goals and had an assist in leading the Lightning in their romp over the Maple Leafs. Steven Stamkos scored his 34th goal of the season to become the franchise’s all-time scoring leader and had two assists. Ondrej Palat also had a goal and two assists. Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy made 36 saves.
MINNESOTA 6 – Vancouver 3… Kevin Fiala scored his second goal of the game in the third period to give the Wild the lead for good in their win over the Canucks. Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello each had a goal and two assists. Goalie Cam Talbot made 21 saves in his 200th career win.
CALGARY 4 – Dallas 2… Christopher Tanev broke a tie with a third-period goal and the Flames put away the Stars to clinch the Pacific Division title. Matthew Tkachuk scored his 40th goal for Calgary. Noah Hanifin and Andrew Mangiapane also found the net.
LOS ANGELES 4 – Chicago 1… The Kings continued their playoff push by downing the Blackhawks. Phillip Danault scored for the fifth straight game. L.A. also got goals from Anze Kopitar, Andreas Athanasiou and Trevor Moore. Adrian Kempe and Alexander Edler each had two assists.
