St. Louis 6 – BUFFALO 2… Vladimir Tarasenko scored three goals and assisted on two others as the Blues rolled past the Sabres for their seventh straight win. Robert Thomas had five assists.
Ottawa 3 – BOSTON 2… Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris and Tim Stützle scored second-period goals as Senators came from two goals down to hand the Bruins their third straight loss. Goalie Anton Forsberg made 40 saves.
TORONTO 7 – Washington 3… William Nylander, Michael Bunting and Ilya Mikheyev scored two goals apiece as the Maple Leafs skated past the Capitals. John Tavares had four assists. Auston Matthews set up two goals.
TAMPA BAY 4 – Anaheim 3 (OT)… The Lightning outlasted the Ducks to clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Anthony Cirelli found the net 1:58 into overtime. Ross Colton, Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov also scored for Tampa Bay.
PITTSBURGH 6 – N.Y. Islanders 3… the Penguins doubled up on the Rangers and earned a playoff berth for the 16th straight year. Jake Guentzel scored two goals. Goalie Tristan Jarry stopped 36 shots.
Detroit 3 – CAROLINA 0… Alex Nedeljkovic stopped all 46 saves in his third shutout of the season and the Red Wings breezed past the Hurricanes. Detroit got goals from Moritz Seider, Adam Erne and Filip Zadina.
Edmonton 4 – NASHVILLE 0… Mike Smith made 30 saves in shutting out the Predators and the Oilers completed a sweep of the three-game season series between the two teams. Leon Draisaitl netted three goals. Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each had two assists.
Minnesota 3 – DALLAS 2 (OT)… Frederick Gaudreau’s goal 1:40 into overtime lifted the Wild over the Stars. Gaudreau also assisted on Kevin Fiala’s two goals in regulation. Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made 34 saves.
CHICAGO 5 – San Jose 4 (SO)… Alex DeBrincat set up three goals in regulation and scored the lone goal in the shootout to send the Blackhawks past the Sharks and snap Chicago’s eight-game losing streak. Jaycob Megna scored tipped in a tying goal with with 3:25 left in the third period. Patrick Kane scored his 24th goal and added two assists. Dylan Strome added a goal and an assist. Seth Jones assisted on two goals.
COLORADO 3 – New Jersey 1… The Avalanche made it eight straight wins by downing the Devils. Artturi Lehkonen had a goal and an assist, Logan O’Connor and Andre Burakovsky also found the net. Goalie Pavel Francouz made 26 saves.
Vegas 5 – CALGARY 1… Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson each had a goal and two assists as the Golden Knights beat the Flames. Mattias Janmark had two assists.
VANCOUVER 7 – Arizona 1… The Canucks extended their winning streak to five games by routing the Coyotes. J.T. Miller had a career-high five assists. Rookie Vasily Podkolzin had two goals and an assist, Alex Chiasson also scored twice. Quinn Hughes had three assists.
