NBA PLAY-IN TOURNAMENT SCORES…
ATLANTA 132 – Charlotte 103… The Hawks used a third-quarter surge to break the game open and went on to rout the Hornets in an Eastern Conference play-in game. All five starters scored in double figures, led by Trae Young’s 24 points. Young also dished off 11 assists. De’Andre Hunter added 22 points. Atlanta will visit Cleveland tomorrow night for the No. 8 seed in the East and an opening-round matchup with Miami in the NBA playoffs.

NEW ORLEANS 113 – San Antonio 103… CJ McCollum scored 27 of his 32 points in the first half and the Pelicans put away the Spurs in a Western Conference play-in game. Brandon Ingram added 27 points. Jonas Valanciunas had 22 points and 14 rebounds. New Orleans will visit the L.A. Clippers on Friday night for the Western Conference’s eighth playoff seed and the chance to take on top seeded Phoenix in the first round of the playoffs.
