NATIONAL LEAGUE
PHILADELPHIA 5 – N.Y. Mets 4… The Phillies scored all five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to erase a 4-0 deficit and upend the Mets. J.T. Realmuto belted a two-run homer. Rhys Hoskins and Didi Gregorius followed with run-scoring doubles.
Washington 11 – ATLANTA 2… Maikel Franco had four hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in five runs as the Nationals pounded the Braves. Washington put the game away with a five-run top of the eighth inning.
San Diego 4 – SAN FRANCISCO 2… Manny Machado’s RBI groundout in the top of the seventh inning gave the Padres the lead for good in their win over the Giants. Austin Nola homered for San Diego. The game featured twin relievers Taylor and Tyler Rogers pitching in the same major league game wearing opposing uniforms.
Pittsburgh – ST. LOUIS – Pittsburgh (ppd)… Inclement in St. Louis forced postponement of yesterday’s Pirates-Cardinals game. It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on June 14.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Cleveland 10 – KANSAS CITY 7… Oscar Mercado added a two-run homer and Steven Kwan legged out a bases-clearing triple as the Indians downed the Rangers. Owen Miller had three hits and scored two runs.
DETROIT 3 – Boston 1… Javier Baez cracked a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to power the Tigers past the Red Sox. Austin Meadows had a couple of hits and scored twice.
Oakland 13 – TAMPA BAY 2… Seth Brown and Elvis Andrus both hit three-run homers to lead the Athletics in their pummeling of the Rays. Paul Blackburn allowed just three hits in five scoreless innings,
Toronto 3 – N.Y. YANKEES 0… Alek Manoah (1-0) surrendered just one hit over six innings and three relievers did the rest in the Blue Jays’ blanking of the Yankees. George Springer hit a go-ahead two-run homer and an RBI double.
MINNESOTA 4 – Seattle 0… Dylan Bundy tossed five shutout innings in the Twins’ blanking of the Mariners. Byron Buxton and Luis Arraez had three hits apiece.
L.A. ANGELS 6 – Miami 2… Brandon Marsh hit an early three-run homer and the Angels cruised past the Marlins. Jo Adell also went deep for L.A. Michael Lorenzen limited Miami to one run on two hits over six innings.
INTERLEAGUE
BALTIMORE 2 – Milwaukee 0… Cedric Mullins’ two-run single in the bottom of the second inning provided the Orioles with all the offense they needed in their blanking of the Brewers. Bruce Zimmermann worked the first four inning on the mount.
Colorado 6 – TEXAS 4 (10 innings)… Jose Iglesias singled home a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning with his fourth hit of the day and the Rockies outlasted the Rangers. D.J. Cron tripled home a run and homered. Connor Joe also went deep.
