Philadelphia 5 – ST. LOUIS 2… The Flyers outshot the Blues to snap their 13-game road losing streak. Travis Konecny netted two goals. Hayden Hodgson had a goal and an assist in his NHL debut. Cam York and Kevin Hayes each had two assists.
BOSTON 3 – Tampa Bay 2… David Pastrnak scored three goals to record his 12th career hat trick and lead the Bruins past the Lightning. Pastrnak’s final goal broke a tie with 4:10 remaining. The victory moved Boston ahead of Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Florida 4 – MONTREAL 3… Sam Reinhart’s power-play goal in the third period proved decisive in the Panthers’ win over the Canadiens. Claude Giroux had two assists in his first game for Florida. Goalie Spencer Knight made 28 saves.
Dallas 4 – CAROLINA 3 (SO)… Tyler Seguin found the net in the shootout to send the Stars past the Hurricanes. Roope Hintz scored twice in regulation. Goalie Scott Wedgewood stopped 44 shots in first game at goal for Dallas. Jason Robertson added two assists.
N.Y. ISLANDERS 5 – Detroit 2… Brock Nelson netted a pair of goals in the Islanders skated past the Red Wings. Anthony Beauvillier opened the scoring just nine seconds into the contest. Anders Lee had three assists and Mathew Barzal added two. Goalie Ilya Sorokin made 37 stops.
MINNESOTA 3 – Vancouver 2… Joel Eriksson Ek scored 31 seconds into overtime to lift the Wild over the Canucks. Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and an assist. Cam Talbot made 26 saves at goal.
Ottawa 5 – WINNIPEG 2… The Senators scored three goals over a 3:15 span of the third period to put away the Jets. Brady Tkachuk scored two goals for Ottawa.
EDMONTON 5 – San Jose 2… The Oilers got a pair of goals from Leon Draisaitl in their win over the Sharks. Kailer Yamamoto, Derick Brassard and Evander Kane also found the net. Goalie Mike Smith made 28 saves.
VEGAS 6 – Nashville 1… Six different players found the net as the Golden Knights cruised past the Predators. Evgenii Dadonov and Chandler Stephenson each had a goal and two assists. Jonathan Marchessault set up three goals. Jack Eichel scored a goal and assisted on another.
Chicago 4 – LOS ANGELES 3 (SO)… Alex DeBrincat scored the lone goal in the shootout as the Blackhawks outlasted the Kings. DeBrincat also had a goal and an assist in regulation. Patrick Kane added a goal and an assist. Goalie Collin Delia stopped 43 shots.
