St. Louis 5 – WASHINGTON 2… The Blues came from a goal down in the first period to skate past the Capitals. Nathan Walker celebrated his call-up by scoring the go-ahead goal in the second period. Brandon Saad and Brayden Schenn each had a goal and an assist.
NEW JERSEY 7 – N.Y. Rangers 4… The Devils used a five-goal second period to erase a two-goal deficit and put away the Rangers. Jack Hughes found the net twice. Goalie Nico Daws made 31 saves.
PITTSBURGH 5 – Columbus 1… The Penguins rolled past the Blue Jackets after spotting them an early lead. Jake Guentzel scored twice during a four-goal second period. Tristan Jarry stopped 26 shots at goal.
CAROLINA 3 – Tampa Bay 2… Martin Necas and Tony DeAngelo scored power-play goals in the third period, Sebastian Aho added a third period goal and the Hurricanes held off the Lightning to snap a four-game skid. Seth Jarvis had two assists. Goalie Frederik Andersen made 27 saves.
DETROIT 6 – Philadelphia 3… The Red Wings got a pair of goals from Jakub Vrana in doubling up on the Flyers. Tyler Bertuzzi scored a goal and assisted on two others. Dylan Larkin, Pius Suter and Filip Hronek each had two assists. Alex Nedeljkovic made 30 stops at goal.
N.Y. ISLANDERS 3 – Ottawa 0… Goalie Semyon Varlamov stopped all 24 shots to notch his first shutout of the season and the Islanders breezed past the Senators. Scott Mayfield, Anders Lee and Zach Parise lit the lamp as New York scored all three goals in the third period. Brock Nelson assisted on all three goals.
WINNIPEG 4 – Vegas 0… Goalie Connor Hellebuyck rejected 42 shots for his fourth shutout of the season as the Jets blanked the Golden Knights. Nikolaj Ehlers and Mark Scheifele each had a goal and an assist. Blake Wheeler and Kyle Connor each had two assists.
DALLAS 5 – Edmonton 3… Roope Hintz and Denis Gurianov scored the tying and go-ahead goals 24 seconds apart late in the third period to send the Stars past the Oilers. Tyler Seguin added an empty-netter.
San Jose 4 – CALGARY 3… The Sharks overcame a 3-2 third-period deficit to upend the Flames. Logan Couture netted the tying goal with 8:27 remaining and Alexander Barabanov followed with the go-ahead goal 28 seconds later. Goaltender James Reimer made 28 saves.
Seattle 4 – ARIZONA 2… Cars Soucy scored a pair of second-period goals in leading the Kraken to a come-from-behind win over the Coyotes. Morgan Geekie had a goal and an assist. Philipp Grubauer stopped 24 shots at goal.
LOS ANGELES 6 – Nashville 1… The Kings scored three unanswered goals in the first period and never looked back in rolling past the Predators. Quinton Byfield scored two third-period goals and had an assist. Adrian Kempe also found the net twice. Goalie Jonathan Quick made 24 saves.
