TORONTO 3 – Minnesota 1… Auston Matthews netted his 35th and 36th goals to take the NHL lead and the Maple Leafs topped the Wild to snap a three-game losing streak. Goalie Petr Mrazek made 29 saves for Toronto.
Columbus 6 – FLORIDA 3… Cole Sillinger and Justin Danforth scored 10 seconds apart in the third period and the Blue Jackets doubled up on the Panthers for their fourth straight win. Jakub Voracek assisted on two goals. J.F. Berube stopped 39 shots at goal.
N.Y. RANGERS 4 – Washington 1… Alexis Lafrenière and Mika Zibanejad each had a goal and an assist as the Rangers cruised past the Capitals for their fifth win in six games. Goalie Igor Shesterkin stopped 36 shots.
New Jersey 6 – PITTSBURGH 1… Jesper Bratt found the net twice in the first six minutes and sparked the Devils to an easy win over the Penguins. Rookie goalie Nico Daws made 37 saves.
NASHVILLE 2 – Dallas 1 (SO)… Mikael Granlund scored the lone goal in a four-round tie-breaker to lift the Predators over the Stars. Philip Tomasino netted a second-period goal. Goalie Juuse Saros made 27 saves.
VANCOUVER 7 – Calgary 1… J.T. Miller scored one of his two goals on a penalty shot and had two assists as the Canucks ended the Flames’ 10-game winning streak. Elias Pettersson and Bo Horvat each added two goals. Quinn Hughes and Brock Boeser each had two assists. Thatcher Demko made 29 saves at goal.
Boston 3 – SEATTLE 2 (OT)… Jake DeBrusk scored his second goal of the game 33 seconds into overtime to send the Bruins past the Kraken for their third straight win. David Pastrnak scored his 28th goal of the season. Goalie Linus Ullmark stopped 25 shots.
SAN JOSE 4 – N.Y. Islanders 3 (SO)… Logan Couture netted the only goal in the shootout and the Sharks outlasted the Islanders to snap a seven-game losing streak. Couture also scored in regulation. Goalie James Reimer made 44 saves.
