The Kirskville Tigers were pumped full of the energy that has been missing as of late, and won a tough battle over Fulton 66-60 Friday at Tiger Gym. The teams battled toe-to-toe from the start as KHS led 20-17 at the end of the 1st and 32-31 at halftime. The Tigers led by 8 at one point in the second half but couldn’t quite put it away until late in the fourth. Fulton’s big center Colby Lancaster scored 11 of his 20 points in the fourth to keep it close. Kirksville’s Keaton Anderson splashed down a couple of big second half three’s on his way to 18 points. Isaac Danielson hit a couple of big free throws late in the game to give the Tigers a four point lead. Camden Dempsay had two big baskets in the fourth on his way to 8 points. Kirksville gets to 12-3 overall and 5-3 in the NCMC. Next, the Tigers are scheduled to take part in Thursday’s doubleheader at Chillicothe Thursday, weather permitting. Wednesday, the District seeding meeting will take place and the Tigers have likely locked up the #2 seed and the all-important bye.
