The Kirksville Lady Tigers won the Macon Tournament championship for the first time in 10 years Saturday with a 57-44 win over Macon Saturday afternoon. The Lady Tigers outscored the host team 19-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 25-14 lead at the break. Elli Porter went 7 out of 8 at the free throw line for the day, 4 for 4 in the fourth quarter to help put it away. Channing Totta led KHS with 16 points, including 4 three-pointers and was named to the all-tournament team. Porter, also named, finished with 15, 11 for Corinne Vorkink who achieved all tournament honors, as well. Kirksville climbs to 14-2 on the year and will next battle Hannibal on the road Tuesday for a varsity doubleheader, coverage around 6:10 on KIRX.
