BOSTON 4 – Washington 3… Charlie McAvoy’s power-play goal with 45 seconds remaining lifted the Bruins over the Capitals. David Pastrnak found the net twice and Erik Haula had two assists.
Dallas 5 – BUFFALO 4… Tyler Seguin and Jason Robertson scored two goals apiece in leading the Stars past the Sabres. Seguin scored on a power play with 7:37 left and assisted Robertson’s go-ahead goal four minutes later. Roope Hintz added a goal and an assist. John Klingberg had three assists.
Columbus 2 – PHILADELPHIA 1… Oliver Bjorkstrand and Patrik Laine lit the lamp and the Blue Jackets dealt the Flyers their 10th straight loss. Goalie Elvis Merzlikins made 33 stops.
PITTSBURGH 6 – Ottawa 4… The Penguins withstood a late charge to down the Senators. Mike Matheson scored two goals and assisted on another. Jeff Carter and Bryan Rust each had two assists.
NASHVILLE 5 – Winnipeg 2… The Predators scored three unanswered goals in the first period and never looked back in skating past the Jets. Ryan Johansen had a goal and an assist. Roman Jose assisted on two goals. Goalie Juuse Saros made 36 saves.
Florida 6 – EDMONTON 0… Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 40 shots in his first shutout of the season and the Panthers breezed past the Oilers. Aleksander Barkov scored two goals and had an assist.
Colorado 4 – LOS ANGELES 1… The Avalanche cruised past the Kings for their fifth straight win. Mikko Rantanen opened the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal and had an assist. Nathan Mackinnon assisted on two goals. Darcy Kuemper made 40 saves at goal.
VEGAS 4 – Montreal 3 (OT)… Shea Theodore scored at 1:50 of overtime to send the Golden Knights past the Canadiens. Theodore also had two assists in regulation. Jonathan Marchessault tied the game with a power-play goal in the third period. William Karlsson had a goal and an assist.
SEATTLE 3 – San Jose 2… The Kraken shook off a slow start to get past the Sharks. Carson Soucy netted two goals. Mark Giordano set up two goals. Goalie Philipp Grubauer made 22 saves.
