Lady Tigers Defeat Harrisburg

The Kirksville Lady Tigers put down Harrisburg 57-23 Tuesday in first round pool play action at the Macon Tournament. KHS held Harrisburg without a basket until a minute to go in the first quarter and took a19-8 lead. KHS sent Harrisburg to the free throw line a lot in the first half and went 10 for 11 in the first half. The Lady Tiger defense played well again, forcing 21 turnovers. Corinne Vorkink led three Lady Tigers in double figures with 14 points, 13 for Elli Porter, 12 for Channing Totta. KHS gets to 12-2 on the year, 1-0 in pool play. Next, it’s a doubleheader Wednesday right back at the multi-purpose building. The Lady Tigers will take on Mexico at 6:00, followed by the Tigers vs. Harrisburg at 7:30 on KIRX.
