The Kirksville Lady Tigers used a dominating third quarter to pick up a win over Monroe City 51-17 Saturday afternoon at Tiger Gym. The Lady Tigers outscored the Panthers 23-1 in the 3rd to take a 44-14 lead and put it away with a continuous clock 4th quarter. Full court press kept Monroe City off balance all day, and good free throw shooting was a big factor. KHS was 14 out of 16 for the game at the stripe. Elli Porter led the way with 12 points, including 5 for 6 at the free throw line. Jenna Jackson chipped in with ten points. KHS climbs to 2-1 on the year and will make their first road trip of the season Tuesday when they head to Kahoka to play Clark County. Live coverage on KIRX and the page at 5:45.
