Mizzou Falls Hard To Seminoles

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou men’s basketball dropped a matchup to Florida State, 81-58, in the championship game of the Jacksonville Classic presented by Fabletics on Monday night. Mizzou moves to 3-2 on the season, following a thrilling overtime win yesterday against SMU.

 

Florida State (4-1) took the lead at the start and held onto it for the length of the contest. The Seminoles capitalized on several turnovers by the Tigers and made it difficult to close the early deficit.

 

  • Kobe Brown chipped in 13 points on the night, marking his fifth-consecutive game in double figures, the longest stretch of his career.
  • He finished the night shooting 6-of-7 from the field, three rebounds and an assist.
  • Amari Davis led the team in scoring with 14 points on the night, while eclipsing the 1,000 point career milestone.
  • Davis shot 2-for-2 from behind the arc, the first time in his career he’s finished perfect from three.

The Tigers return to Mizzou Arena to face Wichita State Friday, Nov. 27, the game will be broadcast on 93.7 KTUF immediately after the Tiger football game at Arkansas which starts at 12:30 with the pregame and the kick at 2:30.
