TAMPA BAY 5 – Minnesota 4 (SO)… The Lightning outlasted the Wild after blowing a two-goal lead in the third period. Steven Stamkos scored the lone goal in the shootout. Anthony Cirelli scored twice in regulation.

N.Y. RANGERS 5 – Buffalo 4… Defenseman Ryan Lindgren found the net at the final horn to send the Rangers past the Sabres. The teams scored three goals each in the second period, including four goals in an 82-second span.

Calgary 4 – BOSTON 0… The Flames recorded their seventh shutout in 19 games. Goalie Dan Vladar stopped all 27 shots. Matthew Tkachuk had two assists.

Toronto 3 – N.Y. ISLANDERS 0… Goalie Joseph Woll stopped all 20 shots for his first career shutout and the Maple Leafs clipped the Islanders. Mitch Marner found the net twice.

Chicago 1 – VANCOUVER 0… Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 40 shots in his first shutout of the season and the Blackhawks edged the Canucks. Brandon Hagel scored the game’s only goal with a third-period tip-in.

SEATTLE 5 – Washington 2… Jaden Schwartz scored a goal and assisted on three others as the Kraken surprised the Capitals and ended a six-game losing streak. Calle Jarnkrok and Yanni Gorde each added a goal and an assist. Philipp Grubauer made 37 saves at goal.

Arizona 2 – LOS ANGELES 1 (OT)… Kyle Capobianco’s goal with 1:34 left in overtime gave the Coyotes a hard-fought win over the Kings. Travis Boyd had a goal and an assist. Goalie Karel Vejmelka stopped 37 shots.
