NATIONAL LEAGUE
PITTSBURGH 4 – St. Louis 3… Yoshi Tsutsugo lifted a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning and belted a walkoff three-run homer in the ninth to lead the Pirates past the Cardinals. Bryan Reynolds and Jacob Stallings drew walks ahead of Tsutsugo’s game-winning blast.
PHILADELPHIA 7 – Arizona 4… Freddy Galvis lifted a sacrifice fly and singled home two runs in the Phillies’ win over the Diamondbacks. Rafael Marchand and Travis Jankowski put the game away with back-to-back RBI triples in the bottom of the eighth inning. Ranger Suarez (6-4) allowed only a run on five hits over 5-1/3 innings.
MIAMI 2 – Cincinnati 1… Jesús Sánchez homered with a runner aboard in the bottom of the first inning and the Marlins hung on to edge the Reds. Jesús Luzardo (5-7) allowed just one hit over six-plus scoreless innings.
N.Y. METS 9 – Washington 4… Javier Báez’s two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning gave the Mets the lead for good in the win over the Nationals. Jonathan Villar also homered with a runner aboard. Francisco Lindor scored on a balk that he forced and hit a two-run double. Tylor Megill (2-3) allowed just a two-run Josh Bell homer over five innings.
ATLANTA 9 – San Francisco 0… Jorge Soler opened the scoring with his 20th homer to lead of the bottom off the fourth inning and Austin Riley added a two-run shot two batters later in the Braves’ romp over the Giants. Ozzie Albies also went deep. Eddie Rosario legged out a two-run triple. Ian Anderson (6-5) pitched four-hit ball over 5-2/3 innings.
Colorado 5 – L.A. DODGERS 0… Anthony Senzatela (3-9) limited the Dodgers to two hits over seven innings and two relievers completed the shutout. C.J. Cron belted a three-run homer in the top of the first inning for Colorado.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Tampa Bay 12 – BALTIMORE 8… Joey Wendle hit a pair of homers, including a grand slam, and drove in six runs as the Rays outslugged the Orioles to complete a three-game sweep. Austin Meadows and Jordan Luplow also homered for Tampa Bay, which won 18 of 19 games against Baltimore this year.
Toronto 2 – DETROIT 1… José Berríos (9-7) surrendered just an unearned run on six hits over seven innings and the Blue Jays shaded the Tigers. Solo homers by Bo Bichette and Kevin Smith provided all the offense Toronto needed.
TEXAS 13 – Houston 2… Adolis García went 3-for-4 with a single and a grand slam as the Rangers throttled the Astros. DJ Peters homered and drove in three runs. Taylor Hearn (4-4) allowed two runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings.
CLEVELAND 7 – Boston 5… The Indians scored three runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overtake the Red Sox. Austin Hedges sparked the rally with a solo homer. Yu Chang doubled home a go-ahead run and scored on a Myles Straw single. Jose Ramirez also hit a bases-empty homer for Cleveland.
OAKLAND 3 – N.Y. Yankees 1… Tony Kemp slugged a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Athletics made it stand in beating the Yankees. The game featured a duel between Oakland starter Paul Blackburn and his counterpart Jordan Montgomery, but neither got a decision.
SEATTLE 4 – Kansas City 3… Kyle Seager smacked a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Mariners hung on to top the Royals. Jarred Kelenic also went deep for Seattle. Marco Gonzales (6-5) gave up two runs on five hits over seven innings.
INTERLEAGUE
CHI. WHITE SOX 13 – Chi. Cubs 1… Luis Robert homered twice and knocked in three runs as the White Sox throttled the Cubs. Eloy Jiménez and Yasmani Grandal also homered and drove in three runs. José Abreu topped 100 RBIs on the season with a two-run double. Dylan Cease (11-6) allowed a run on four hits over six innings.
Milwaukee 6 – MINNESOTA 2… Rowdy Tellez hit a three-run home run and the Brewers cruised past the Twins. Luis Urías also homered and Kolten Wong doubled home two runs for Milwaukee. Aaron Ashby (1-0) held Minnesota to two runs on three hits over five innings on his way to his first major league win.
