NATIONAL LEAGUE
WASHINGTON 5 – Philadelphia 1… Starter Patrick Corbin (2-3) held the Phillies to a run on five hits over seven innings. Kyle Schwarber and Josh Bell hit two-run homers in the bottom of the first inning.

St. Louis 2 – MILWAUKEE 0… Jack Flaherty (7-0) pitched four-hit ball over six innings and three relievers completed the Cardinals’ blanking of the Brewers. Nolan Arenado provided all the offense St. Louis needed with an RBI single in the top of the first inning.

San Francisco 3 – PITTSBURGH 1… Giants starter Anthony DeSclafani (3-1) limited the Pirates to one hit over five innings. Steven Duggar’s solo homer sparked a three-run top of the fifth inning.

COLORADO 13 – Cincinnati 8… The Rockies took a 10-0 lead into the eighth inning and held off the Reds. Josh Fuentes went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and four RBIs. Garrett Hampson also went deep. Connor Joe drove in three runs with a double and a single.

Miami 5 – ARIZONA 1… Trevor Rogers (5-2) held the Diamondbacks to a run on four hits over six innings. Jesus Aguilar went 3-for-5 with a run-scoring single.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
DETROIT 4 – Kansas City 3… The Tigers scored all four runs in the bottom of the second inning and held on to hand the Royals their 11th straight loss. Spencer Turnbull (2-2) allowed a run on six hits over 6-1/3 innings.

CHI. WHITE SOX 4 – Minnesota 2… The White Sox made it six straight wins with the defeat of the Twins. Tim Anderson and Jake Lamb smacked solo homers. Lance Lynn (4-1) gave up an unearned run on two hits over five innings.

TAMPA BAY 9 – N.Y. Yankees 1… The Rays romped over the COVID-stricken Yankees. Rich Hill (2-1) pitched three-hit ball over 6-2/3 innings. Austin Meadows homered with a runner on and stroked a two-run double. Randy Arozarena belted a three-run homer.

BOSTON 8 – Oakland 1… Xander Bogaerts and Bobby Dalbec hit two-run homers as the Red Sox ripped the Athletics. Garrett Richards (3-2) scattered five hits over six shutout innings.

HOUSTON 4 – Texas 3 (11 innings)… Myles Straw raced home on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 11th inning to send the Astros past the Rangers. Houston scored its first three-runs on Jose Altuve’s second-inning double.

Cleveland 4 – SEATTLE 2… Jose Ramirez’ two-run homer in the top of the third inning proved to be the difference in the Indians’ win over the Mariners. Starter Zach Plesac (3-3) took a no-hitter into the eighth inning.

INTERLEAGUE
Toronto 8 – ATLANTA 4… Bo Bichette’s go-ahead two-run double sparked a four-run top of the ninth inning that carried the Blue Jays past the Braves. Bichette also singled home a tying run in the fifth.
