NATIONAL LEAGUE
Miami 6 – MILWAUKEE 2… Jesus Aguilar’s fifth homer in six games was a tie-breaking three-run shot in the top of the fourth inning. Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara (1-2) allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings.

L.A. DODGERS 8 – Cincinnati 0… Clayton Kershaw (4-2) pitched four-hit ball over seven innings and got help from three relievers on the shutout as the Dodgers snapped a three-game skid. L.A. put the game away with a six-run bottom of the eighth inning. Justin Turner homered with the bases empty in the third.

ATLANTA 10 – Chi. Cubs 0… Marcell Ozuna and Austin Riley hit two-run homers during a four-run bottom of the first inning and the Braves pounded out 18 hits in the thrashing of the Cubs. Freddie Freeman, Oscar Albies and starting pitcher Huascar Ynoa also circled the bases. On the mound, Ynoa (2-1) gave up four hits and fanned nine over 5-1/3 innings.

Philadelphia 5 – ST. LOUIS 3… Brad Miller ripped a two-run homer and Andrew McCutchen singled home Matt Joyce with a tie-breaking run in the Phillies’ win over the Cardinals. Joyce entered the game in the sixth inning as a pinch-runner after Bryce Harper was hit in the face with a pitch and had to leave the game.

San Diego 12 – ARIZONA 3… Manny Machado’s bases-clearing triple highlighted a six-run top of the fifth inning and the Padres crushed the Diamondbacks. Jorge Mateo blasted a two-run homer. Jake Cronenworth added a solo shot.

SAN FRANCISCO 7 – Colorado 3… Brandon Belt’s two-run single capped a four-run bottom of the second inning for the Giants and pinch-hitter Wilmer Flores singled in two more runs during a three-run seventh. Alex Wood (3-0) gave up two runs on four hits over six innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Minnesota 10 – CLEVELAND 2… Mitch Garver hit two of the Twins’ six homers and knocked in three runs. Josh Donaldson, Jorge Polanco, Byron Buxton and Willians Astudillo also went deep. Starter J.A. Happ (2-0) allowed two run on four hits over seven innings.

N.Y. Yankees 7 – BALTIMORE 0… Domingo Germán (2-2) pitched three-hit ball over seven innings and reliever Michael King completed the shutout of the Orioles. Gio Urshela belted a three-run homer. Mike Ford and Clint Frazier added solo shots.

TAMPA BAY 2 – Oakland 0… Tyler Glasnow (3-1) limited the Athletics to five hits over seven innings and struck out 10. Two relievers finished the shutout. Mike Zunino homered and Manuel Margot singled home a run as Tampa Bay scored both runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

L.A. Angels 4 – TEXAS 3… Anthony Rendon and Julio Iglesias stroked two-run singles in the top of the first inning and the Angels held on to edge the Rangers.

HOUSTON 7 – Seattle 5… The Astros pushed across four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to upend the Mariners. Pinch-hitter Jason Castro drew a bases-loaded walk to score Carlos Correa with the go-ahead run. Aledmys Diaz came through with a game-tying RBI single.

Detroit – CHI. WHITE SOX (ppd.)… Inclement weather in Chicago forced postponement of last night’s Tigers-White Sox game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

INTERLEAGUE
Kansas City 9 – PITTSBURGH 6… Jorge Soler had a pair of doubles among his three hits and drove in three runs for the Royals. Hunter Dozier legged out a two-run triple and Andrew Benintendi doubled home two runs.

Boston 1 – N.Y. METS 0… Nick Pivetta (3-0) allowed just one hit over five innings and three relievers did the rest in the blanking of the Mets. Christian Vázquez doubled home Xavier Bogaerts with the game’s only run in the top of the second inning.

Washington 8 – TORONTO 2… Josh Harrison drilled a three-run homer and Josh Bell added a two-run blast for the Nationals. Ryan Zimmerman went 3-for-5 with a two-run single.
