Jan. 25 (UPI) — The Kansas City Chiefs most likely will be without Pro Bowl left tackle Eric Fisher in Super Bowl LV after the offensive lineman sustained a torn Achilles in the AFC Championship game.
Fisher suffered the lower leg injury in the fourth quarter of the victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in Kansas City, Mo. The Chiefs later ruled Fisher out for the rest of the game with an “Achilles injury” designation.
Recovery time for an Achilles tear is six to seven months. The Chiefs already were without right tackle Mitchell Schwartz due to a back injury, which means they could head into Super Bowl LV without both of their starting tackles.
