Marvin Thomas Yardley, 84, passed away Saturday October 17, 2020, at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan, Missouri.
Marvin was born on November 7, 1935, to William Lee and Atha Mae (Coon) Yardley in Milan, Missouri. On October 24, 1969 he married Naomi Pratte. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage.
Marvin was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. He was employed at ConAgra for 38 years before retirement. He enjoyed being outdoors. His favorite past times were raising a garden, hunting and fishing. Marvin most cherished the time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi, of the home; two daughters by a previous marriage, Judy and husband Danny Cowles of Milan, Missouri and Janet Hollon of Princeton, Missouri, three step children; Gary and wife Sandy Tipton of Green City, Missouri, Terry and wife Lonnie Tipton of Pollock, Missouri, and Anna and Randy McCollum of Milan, Missouri, twelve grandchildren; Paula Nichols, Karen Schoonover, Kevin Cowles, Chris Hollon, Curtis Hollon, Brian Cunningham, Brett Cunningham, Shannon Tipton, Brandon Tipton, Chelsea Wilson, Jason Nelson, Heather McCollum and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Herb Yardley, a daughter, Tama Cunningham and a granddaughter, Sherry Thudium.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Interment will be at a later date. A scheduled visitation will be held for one hour before the time of service.
