Toronto 6 – TAMPA BAY 4… Randal Grichuk’s three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning gave the Blue Jays the lead for good. Lourdes Gurriel also went deep for Toronto.

Miami 11 – WASHINGTON 8… Jesus Aguilar went 3-for-5 and knocked in three runs as the Marlins outslugged the Nationals. Jon Bertl homered with a runner aboard.

Minnesota 3 – CLEVELAND 2… Nelson Cruz smacked a solo homer and Miguel Sano added a solo shot as the Twins held off the Indians. Kenta Maeda (4-0) allowed a run on five hits over five innings.

Chi. Cubs 9 – DETROIT 3… Javier Baez homered twice and drove in three runs to lead the Cubs in their pounding of the Tigers. David Bote had three hits, including a solo homer, and three RBIs.

TEXAS 3 – Oakland 2… The Rangers held off the Athletics to snap their eight-game skid. Todd Frazier stroked a two-run single. Isiah Kiner-Falefa homered. Lance Lynn (4-0) gave up two runs on five hits over six innings.

MILWAUKEE 4 – Cincinnati 2… The Brewers eased past the Reds to win their first in five games. Justin Smoak homered and knocked in three runs. Brett Anderson (2-2) gave up two runs on five hits over six innings.

ST. LOUIS 9 – Kansas City 3… Paul Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBIs in the Cardinals’ defeat of the Royals. Paul DeJong also drove in three runs. Jack Flaherty (2-0) pitched one-hit ball over five scoreless innings.

HOUSTON 11 – L.A. Angels 4… Kyle Tucker homered and doubled home a run, Carlos Correa drove in three runs and the Astros cruised past the Angels.

Colorado 3 – ARIZONA 2… The Rockies edged the Diamondbacks to end their seven-game losing streak. Reimel Tapia singled home Tony Wolters with a tie-breaking run in the top of the fifth inning. Trevor Story homered in the first.
