HOUSTON 2 – Colorado 1 (11 innings)… Myles Straw singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift the Astros over the Rockies. Houston starter Zack Greinke and his counterpart Anthony Senzatela both pitched eight scoreless innings.

San Diego 6 – TEXAS 4… Wil Myers unloaded a grand slam in the top of the first inning, Jurickson Profar added a two-run shot in the fourth and the Padres coasted past the Rangers.

San Francisco 8 – L.A. ANGELS 2… The Giants cruised past the Angels to end their five-game skid. Pablo Sandoval homered with a runner aboard and doubled home a run. Mike Yastrzemski smacked a solo homer.

Cleveland 6 – PITTSBURGH 3 (10 innings)… Carlos Santana’s three-run homer in the top of the 10th inning sent the Indians past the Pirates.

Washington 8 – ATLANTA 5… Eric Thames had a couple of hits and drove in three runs to lead the Nationals past the Braves.

CHI. WHITE SOX 10 – Detroit 4… Tim Anderson went 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs as the White Sox pounded the Tigers. Jose Abreu had three hits and knocked in three runs.

ARIZONA 10 – Oakland 1… The Diamondbacks opened with a five-run bottom of the first inning and never looked back in their thrashing of the Athletics. Nick Ahmed went 3-for-4 with a homer and five RBIs. Kole Calhoun also went deep. Luke Weaver (1-3) allowed a run on three hits over rive innings.

Tampa Bay 6 – N.Y. YANKEES 3… Brandon Lowe homered with two runners aboard to cap a four-run top of the third inning and the Rays doubled up on the Yankees. Austin Meadows also homered for Tampa Bay.

L.A. DODGERS 2 – Seattle 1… Austin Barnes stole second and scored on Corey Seager’s tie-breaking RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Dodgers hung on to edge the Mariners. L.A. starter Tony Gonsolin pitched two-hit ball over six shutout innings.

N.Y. Mets 8 – MIAMI 3…  Amed Rosario homered with the bases empty and stroked a two-run single as the Mets ripped the Marlins. Brandon Nimmo had three hits, including a solo homer, and drove one two runs.

Toronto 8 – BALTIMORE 7 (10 innings)… The Blue Jays recovered to outlast the Orioles after blowing a four-run lead. Yuli Gurriel’s grounder in the top of the 10th inning brought home Travis Shaw with the decisive run.

Philadelphia 13 – BOSTON 6… The Phillies erupted to score seven runs in the top of the sixth inning on their way past the Red Sox. Bryce Harper blasted a three-run homer. Jay Bruce added a two-run shot. Rhys Hoskins and Phil Gosselin hit solo homers.

MINNESOTA 4 – Milwaukee 3 (12 innings)… The Twins outlasted the Brewers after blowing a 3-0 ninth-inning lead. Starter Kenta Maeda took a ho-hitter into the final frame and departed after giving up an Eric Sogard leadoff single. Byron Buxton raced home with the tie-breaking run in the top of the 12th on Jorge Polanco’s grounder against a five-man infield.

CHI. CUBS 6 – St. Louis 3… Ian Happ drilled a solo homer and Kyle Schwarber added a two-run shot as the Cubs cruised past he Cardinals. Yu Darvish (4-1) surrendered a run on eight hits over six innings.
