Larry Joe Weaver, 78, of Milan, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.
Joe was born on December 1, 1947, in Unionville, Missouri to Charles Brumitt (Doc) and Doris (Eddy) Weaver. He grew up in Milan and later married Lisa Chapman. She survives of the home. Also surviving are children; Brian (April) Weaver of Green City, Missouri, Denny Weaver of Milan, Missouri and Misty Smith (Lindsay Hill) of Milan, and Doc Weaver of Milan, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother; Jerry Eddy of Milan, Father in law; Tommy Chapman of Milan, brother in law; Stacey (Mindy) Chapman of Newtown, sister in law; Stephanie Hollinsworth of Milan, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Scotty Allen Weaver, son in law; Wayne Smith and grandson Dason Weaver.
Joe loved to work on cars. He was a mechanic most of his life, working for several local shops including; Quinton Eddy, Marvin and Dorothy Smith, Jerry Swearingen and most recently for Eddy Motors until his retirement. He worked for Con Agra for a time. Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing, and riding side by sides. He was always tinkering on things and loved to watch the boys at the derbies. He most of all loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
A funeral for Joe will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
