Tony Ray Young, 47, of Green City, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
Tony was born March 13, 1978, in Trenton, Missouri to Clarence Young and Joyce Johnson. He is survived by: His father, Clarence of Green City; a sister, Tina Marie Young of Milan; a niece, Danielle McGrew and her children, Rayelyn, Quinton, and Asher of Brookfield, Mo: and several cousins.
Tony was preceded in death by: His mother, Joyce; and three uncles, Kermit Young, Kenneth Young, and Garold Young.
Tony grew up in Green City, graduating from Green City R-1. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling to different places. Tony liked mowing yard and pushing snow. He enjoyed giving people a rough time but would help anybody when they needed it.
A visitation for Tony will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a service following at 7:00 on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to his father, Clarence Young, to help with Tony’s final expenses.
