Darrell Edward McMann, 84, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2025 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
Born January 11, 1941 in Fordland, Missouri, Darrell was the son of Carl Boyd and Janie Lucille (Carr) McMann. On December 31, 1960 in Millard, Missouri, Darrell was united in marriage to Pearl Murphy.
Darrell is survived by his wife Pearl of sixty-five years come December 31st; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Neal and Cheryl McMann of Kirksville, MO, and Sammy McMann of Milan, MO; three grandchildren, Brady (Jessica) McMann, Savanna (Cole) Robertson, and Haley (Ryan) Ford; eight great-grandchildren, Marissa McMann, Kaden McMann, Addison Robertson, Brooklyn Robertson, Cole Jr. Robertson, Hunter Ford, Trevor Ford, and Harper Ford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, 1 step-brother; and six step-sisters.
Darrell received his education in the Milan public schools. He resides most of his life in the Millard community. He worked for Roger’s Trucking and Grgurich Trucking companies forty years until his retirement. His greatest pastime was going to stock car races with Pearl and his grandchildren and betting quarters on the fastest car. Darrell also loved all his cats, for they were his therapy.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (December 20, 2025) with family receiving friends from noon to service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor John Davison officiating.
