Edgar Lee Berry, 79, of rural Glenwood, Missouri passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 unexpectedly at his home.

Ed was born on May 2, 1946 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Alfred Edgar “Buzz” and Elinor Muriel (Kaster) Berry.

He attended and graduated from Queen City High School in 1964.  He continued his education graduating from Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State University) in 1968.  After graduating, he taught history/geography at Scotland County High School for a few years.  After this, he followed his true passion for farming on his family farm.

Ed married Linda Collins on June 23, 1968 in Worthington, Missouri and to this marriage two children were born: Elaina Michelle and Edward Lee.

Surviving are his children, Elaina Wolzak and husband, Brad of Blue Springs, Missouri and Edward Berry and wife, Jessica of Glenwood, Missouri; two grandchildren Edward Paul and Sienna; nephew, Casey Collins and wife, Vickie; nieces, Becky Douglas and Susan Crawford and husband, Scott; great-nephews, Tyler Collins, Cody Collins, Schuyler Douglas, Will Crawford, Nathan Crawford and Seth Crawford, great-nieces; Amadee Huck and husband, Daven, Jameson Huck, Violet Huck, Ava Crawford; aunts, cousins and other family members.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Linda; mother, Elinor Kaster; father, Alfred Edgar “Buzz” Berry; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Collins; father-in-law, Charles Collins; brother-in-law, Larry Collins; sister-in-law, Angela Collins and maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts and uncles.

Ed was a member of the Omaha Baptist Church in Unionville, Missouri.

Ed was devoted to his family, farming, and agriculture. He was still active in his farming operations/duties.  He spent many years on the Schuyler County Soil and Water Conservation District Board and was currently the Chairman.  Ed was a proud member of his community and also served on other various community boards.  He was a member of the Queen City Masonic Lodge #380.

Ed loved to watch his grandkids in sports and spend time with his family.  A true servant at heart, his life was a testament to his belief in helping others.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster Missouri with Masonic services being conducted by the Queen City Masonic Lodge #380 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with funeral services to follow. Officiating the services will be Kevin Collins of the Omaha Baptist Church in Unionville, Missouri. Special music selection will be “Songbird.” Pallbearers will be Randy Johns, Ron Morgan, Curtis Sidwell, Chuck McCartney, Larry Hurley and David Jonaitis. Memorials have been established for the Jimtown Cemetery or Omaha Baptist Church. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
