Curtis Ryan Kinney

Curtis Ryan Kinney, 48 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
The son of Richard Gregory and Dianna Sue (Watkins) Kinney, Curtis was born on February 28, 1977 in Kirksville, Missouri. He was a 1995 graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. Curt attended Indian Hills Community College where he received an associate’s degree.
Curt was a lifelong member of the Iowa Numismatic Association. He enjoyed going to coin shows and coin auctions and was very proud of his coin collection. Curt enjoyed traveling, eating out, happy hour on the patio and spending time with family. He really enjoyed his recent trips to Kansas City and Branson. He enjoyed playing Cribbage with his uncles and cousins. Curt also enjoyed shooting in the indoor shooting range in Des Moines with his cousin, Little Richard and shooting at the farm.
Curt was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church and was baptized on December 7, 1993.
Curt is survived by his parents, Richard and Dianna Kinney; aunts and uncles, Steve Kinney and wife, Mickie of Adel, Iowa, Danny Watkins and wife, Judy of Kansas City, Missouri, Donna Norman and husband, Doug of Downing, Missouri; many cousins, other family members and numerous good friends.
Curt is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and one uncle, Brad Kinney.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Mark Drummond of Memphis, Missouri officiating. Music will be special selections of “Lord You Are My Strength” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Pallbearers will be Jonathon Norman, Joel Norman, Matt Kinney, Tanner Burton, Kevin Kosman and Mike McGoldrick. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
