Annalu Sears, 92, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025 at Northland Rehab in Kansas City.
Annalu was born September 1, 1933 in Mountain Grove, Missouri to Charles and Lavina (Taylor) Gardner. She is survived by: Her sons, Larry Sears, Doug Sears, and Chris Sears; Sisters, Francis Bunch of Milan and Carmen Yos of Kirksville. She was preceded in death by: Sons, Curtis Sears and Brad Sears; Siblings, Wayne Gardner, Ralph Gardner, Carl Gardner, Thelma Posey, and Mildred Yos.
Annalu grew up in Green City, where she met and married Luther Sears in 1953. In 1962, they moved to Tuscon, Arizona, where they lived for a couple years before settling in Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City became her lifelong home, where she raised her family and worked in several positions, most notably spending 20 years with Montgomery Ward. Annalu cherished time with her sons and grandchildren, finding great joy in family gatherings and the memories they created together.
A memorial service for Annalu will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri, will a visitation being held one hour prior, starting at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Oli vet Cemetery, East of Green City.
