Clifford Ray Yearns, 84 of Downing Missouri passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri where he had been a resident since October 1, 2025.

The son of Harold William and Mabel Pearl (Aldridge) Yearns, Clifford was born on November 12, 1940 in rural Queen City, Missouri.  He was a graduate of the Queen City High School in Queen City, Missouri. On May 5, 1962 in Lancaster, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Nina Sue Jackson and to this union five children were born, Patrick, Joan, Kelly, Kim and Billy.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Nina Yearns of Downing, Missouri; children, Patrick Yearns of Downing, Missouri, Joan Dierling and husband, Kirk of Queen City, Missouri, Kelly Yearns of Downing, Missouri and Kim Hoover and husband, Kevin of Milan, Missouri; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Earl Dean Yearns and wife, Kathy of Queen City, Missouri, Leroy Yearns and wife, Terri of Queen City, Missouri, Rose Mary Kollaszar of Queen City, Missouri and Eugene Yearns and wife, Mandy of Queen City, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Joe Yearns; one grandson Nathaniel Kirk Dierling; one brother, Otto Yearns and wife, Geneva; one sister, Martha Schmitter and husband, Junior; one nephew, Dwayne Yearns; one sister-in-law, Nikki Yearns and one brother-n-law, David Kollaszar.

Clifford was employed at Bloomfield Foundry in Bloomfield, Iowa for many years and also was a truck driver for Clarkson Construction out of Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Rick Addison of Memphis, Missouri officiating.  Music will be provided by Ruth and Rick Addison performing special selections of “I’ll Fly Away” and “Home Where I Belong.”  Pallbearers will be Joey Yearns, Timmy Yearns, Kirk Dierling, Robbie Yearns, Jim Yearns and Sapphire Yearns.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Memorials have been established for the family.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.  Burial will be in the Fabius Cemetery east of Lancaster, Missouri.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
