Edith Ann “Annie” Fisher

She was born August 27, 1942 near Baring, MO, the daughter of Glennon Francis and Mary Kathleen Killday Marra.  She was united in marriage to Benjamin “Benny” William Fisher on May 30, 1964 in Baring, MO and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2004.

Annie was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack Marra and Loretta, Pat Marra and Janice, brother-in-law, Gene O’Donnell, sister-in-law, Patty Marra, brother-in-law, Harry Fisher, brother-in-law, Jim Fisher and Jean and one nephew, Charles Marra.

Surviving are two sisters, Margaret O’Donnell of Edina, MO and Linda Fox and Jim of Chillicothe, MO; one brother, Tom Marra of Kirksville, MO; a sister-in-law, Charlene Fisher; nephews, Mike O’Donnell and Kim of Kirksville, MO and Chris O’Donnell and Loni of Edina, MO and other nieces and nephews, Danny Marra, Melinda Johnmeyer, Adam Fox, James Marra, Gregory Marra, Sue May, Debi Kavanaugh, Pat Carter, Dr. Mike Early, John Early, Mark Fisher, Monte Fisher, Martha Reese, Pam Dalton, and Jay Fisher and many other great nieces and nephews.

Annie graduated from Baring High School in 1960.  She was a valuable member of the undefeated 1959-1960 girls’ basketball team for the Baring Blue Devils.  After high school Annie began her lifelong career at the Citizens Bank of Edina where she worked for over fifty years; at the time of her retirement in 2017 she was a vice-president.

She was a dedicated member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society and the Edina Country Club.  Annie served on the board of the Knox County Health Department for several years and on the board of the Knox County Community Center; involved in its development and construction.

Annie loved riding the motorcycle with Benny, golfing, bowling and being with family and friends.  She was a special lady to her family, church and community; she will be missed by all who knew her.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 15, 2025 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, MO.  Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M. until time of services at the church.  Burial will be at the St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery at Baring, MO.  Memorials in memory of Annie Fisher may be made to the St. Joseph Foundation/Building Fund.  The memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O.
