The Kirksville Lady Tigers scratched out a 49-41 win over Moberly Tuesday at Tiger Gym. KHS used a strong second quarter to take a two point lead at the break 20-18. Then Kirksville’s Megan Kinney hammered home a three pointer at the buzzer ending the third period to give Kirksville 36-28 advantage. It took good free throw shooting in the fourth to pull away. Paishynce Fouts made four out of five in the period and Chloe Carter went 3 for four as Kirksville made 7 out of 9 in the fourth to lock down the 49-41 win. Fouts ended with 18 points to lead all scorers, Carter finished with 13. Kirksville has now won two straight to get to 9-7, 4-1 in the NCMC. Next, it’ll be a chance to avenge an earlier loss to Hannibal with a road trip Friday night.
