Big Rally Lifts KHS Tigers Past Moberly

The Kirksville Tigers mounted a furious fourth quarter rally and defeated Moberly 47-44 Tuesday at Tiger Gym. KHS was flat for 3 and a half quarters and trailed by ten at one point in the fourth, got to within three before the Spartans grabbed a 7 point advantage and Kirksville looked like they were headed for defeat. That’s when Kirksville’s Cutler Lincoln caught fire by scoring 6 fourth quarter points to help fuel the rally, Kyle White hit a huge three late in the game, and Cole Kelly made two huge free throws with 8 seconds left to give the Tigers a three point lead. Moberly’s Mason Bivens missed a three at the buzzer and KHS hangs on for the dramatic victory. Kelly ended the night with 17 points to lead all scorers, Lincoln finished with 13, Jace Kent had 10. Kirksville climbs to 11-6, 4-2 in the NCMC. Next, the Tigers will be part two of Friday’s doubleheader at Hannibal.
