Kirksville’s Cole Kelly reached the 1,000 point plateau for his career as the Tigers beat Macon 72-42 Tuesday night. A strong second period for Kirksville, outscoring Macon 22-7 and pulled away in the second half. Kelly finished with 16 points, Logan Martin had 13 and Carter Pinkerton chipped in with 10. The Tigers forced 24 Macon turnovers, compared to just 9 for KHS. Kirksville gets to 2-0 and will host South Shelby in a JV/Varsity doubleheader Saturday at 4:00.
