Donald Wayne Morris, 75 of Queen City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.
The son of Claude Harold and Vera Vernice (Lee) Morris, he was born on December 4, 1948 in Kirksville, Missouri. On June 15, 1968 in Coatsville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Fowler and to this union three children were born, Sheri, Shawn and Jeffrey. Donnie was later united in marriage to Rosemary Ford on August 21, 2005 in Kirksville, Missouri.
Donnie is survived by his three children, Sheri Jones and husband, Bryan of Queen City, Missouri, Shawn Morris and wife, Amy of LaPlata, Missouri and Jeffrey Morris and wife, Rebecca of Excello, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Brandon Jones and wife, Molly of Beaverton, Oregon, Brendan Jones and wife, Shelby of Queen City, Missouri, Brayden Jones of Queen City, Missouri, Abbie Morris of Kirksville, Missouri, Kamron Rice of Trenton, Missouri, Sadie Morris of LaPlata, Missouri and Easton and Bailee Morris of Excello, Missouri; four great grandchildren, Westyn and Haleigh Jones of Queen City, Missouri, Kimber Buford of Kirksville, Missouri and Bentley Tingley of Kirksville, Missouri; one sister, Marlene Thurier of Lexington, Missouri; nieces, nephews and other family members.
Donnie is preceded by his parents; the love of his life, Linda Sue Morris on April 23, 2003; his second wife, Rosemary Morris on November 11, 2021 due to cancer; one brother, Darrell Morris and one brother-in-law, Thomas Thurier.
As per Donnie’s wishes, his body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April13, 2024 between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been designated for the Adair County Humane Society. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
