The Kirksville Lady Tigers trailed by only six at halftime 20-14, but Capital City cranked up the pressure in the third quarter and recorded a 50-27 victory Thursday at the Southern Boone Classic.
Kirksville was outscored 30-13 in the second half. It didn’t help that two Lady Tiger starters got into early foul trouble. Chloe Carter and Alia Puckett sat on the bench through much of the second half with four fouls each. so Faith Vice and Neely Miller picked up some quality minutes. Paishynce Fouts led Kirksville with 12 points. KHS dips to 7-10 on the year. Next, a double header in Ashland Saturday afternoon. The Tigers will take on North Point at 2:30, followed by the girls against St. Elizabeth at 4:00.
