Stephen Gail “Steve” Jacobs, 71, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his home.
Born September 5, 1952 in Kirksville, Missouri, Steve was the son of the late Kenneth Granville and Patricia Marie (Fergason) Jacobs. On May 19, 1973 Steve was united in marriage to Carolyn Yowell.
Steve is survived by his wife Carolyn of fifty-years; one son, Ryan Jacobs of Kirksville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Andrew Jensen of Des Moines, IA; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Connie Jacobs of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Sarah Bowers of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Paul Michaels, Violet and Xander Jensen, and Hunter, Holden and Henley Jacobs; as well as several nieces and nephews.
It was Steve’s wish to be cremated and a Celebration of Life service with Masonic Rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024 with family receiving friends for one hour before service time, in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
