Lana Kay Coffman, 74 years old, of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Lana was born February 28, 1949 in rural Browning, Missouri to Clifford Gene and Minnie Fern (Whitaker) Gooch. Lana grew up in Browning, and was in the first graduating high school class of Linn County R-1. On June 24, 1967 in Browning, she married James Woodrow Coffman, he survives of the home.
She is also survived by: Two children, Regena Kay Martin (Tim Martin) of Parkville, Missouri, and Darin James Coffman (Airick Adams) of Gladstone, Missouri; Grandchildren, Sydney Leigh Martin and Tyler James Martin; Honorary sons, Habe Darr (Candy Darr) of Lawson, Missouri, and Everett Hines (Raquel Hines) of Greentop, Missouri; Honorary grandchildren, Hunter Darr, Bubba Darr, Lane Hines, Levi Hines, and Camryn Hines; Nephews, Tony Gooch, Mike Gooch, Marty Gooch, and Matt Gooch; an honorary niece, Tammy Shafer and her children, Logan, Gentrie, and Trevor and their families; Two brothers-in-law, Wayne Douglas Coffman (Bonnie Coffman) of Charleston, Tennessee, Daniel Coffman (Sarita Coffman) of Battle Creek, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Linda Macy (Michael Macy) of Woodstock, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Debbie, Sheryl, Greg, Ryan, Angie, Lisa, Kelly, and Kim; a special friend and neighbor, Dee Dee Walker; and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lana was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Gooch.
Funeral services for Lana will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, East of Green City. A visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday evening, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
