Tigers Fall To Arkansas Powerhouse

The Kirksville Tigers opened up play at the 12 Courts Of Christmas falling to Fayetteville, Arkansas 62-50. The Tigers only trailed by one at the end of the first 18-17, but the Bulldogs opened the second quarter on a 13-0 run to lead at halftime 39-22. KHS played their usual strong third period with Justin McKim scoring 10 of his 12 points to keep KHS within reach. The Tigers outscored Fayetteville 21-10 in the third to get to within 6 points. Then a big three-pointer by Kelson Crone and three big free throws by Rex Rusher helped Fayetteville pull away. A good effort by the Tigers against the #2 ranked Class 6 team from Arkansas. Kirksville dips to 6-2 on the season and will take on Eldon Saturday at 1:45.
