Lena Fae Young, age 96 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the La Plata Nursing Home.
Born March 16, 1927, in Adair County, Missouri, the daughter of Leslie and Ercell Lorene (Carter) Ross. On October 15, 1950, in La Plata, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Bill Young who preceded her in death on August 12, 1993.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and one daughter, Letha Berniece Young.
Surviving is one brother, Glenn Ross of Taylorville, Georgia; nieces, Janet Wood and Susie Halley; nephews, Les, Bruce, Kenny, and Brian Ross; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in La Plata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Young, Brian Ross, Kenny Ross, Les Ross, Tim Wood, Justin Wood, and Cameron McLean.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
