Dorothy Maxine (Perrin) Floyd, 89 formally of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Monday, October 16, 2023 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Centralia, MO.
The daughter of John William and Mildred Mary (Karns) Perrin, Dorothy was born on July 24th, 1934, in Marshalltown, Iowa, and moved to Kirksville, Missouri in 1940. On November 27th, 1952, she was united in marriage to William (Bill) Robert Floyd, three children were born of this marriage.
Dorothy is survived by daughter Judy Roshau of Redwing, MN, sons Bruce Floyd of Columbia, MO and William Travis Floyd (Corrine) of Mexico, MO; Brothers Clarence Perrin of Marshalltown, Iowa, and twin brother Donald Perrin of Kansas City, MO; Grandchildren, Camey Roshau-Fox, Cannon Falls, MN, Nicole Blake (Jake) of Buffalo, MN, James Roshau (Christina) of Mandan ND, Kelli Kent (Derek) and Jacquelyn Floyd of Columbia, MO, John Floyd (Hope), Felicia, Genevieve, Lila, and Luke Floyd of Mexico, MO; Great-grandchildren, Delaynee Fox (Jacob), Grace and Rafe Fox of Cannon Falls MN, Marcus Duerre, Buffalo, MN, Ashtyn Duerre, Minneapolis, MN, Joshua, Kaelyn and Claire Kent of Columbia, MO; Great-great grandchild Lyla Kay Duerre of Buffalo, MN and several dear nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Doris Carrel and Mary Walker; sisters-in-law Darlene Perrin, and Virgina Perrin; brothers-in-law Robert Walker and Frank Carrel; nieces Dorothy (Dottie Ann) Walker, Joan Carrel; and infant nephew Thomas Walker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, with visitation at 9:00a.m. and service at 10:00 a.m. at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. A Catholic mass will be dedicated to Dorothy at a later date.
