Shirley Annabell McFarland, 85 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of George Washington and Opal Mae (Danielson) Patterson, she was born September 27, 1938 in Kirksville, Missouri. On October 10, 1978 in Novinger, Missouri she married Lloyd D. McFarland and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dale Mills; one daughter, Joanne Simpson; sisters, Jesse Ruggles, Donna Warden, and Leora Payton; and two brothers, Clyde Patterson and Johnny Patterson.
Shirley is survived by one son, Dean Mills of Kirksville; three daughters, Donna Chavez of Kirksville, Betty Ault of Kirksville, and Judy Mills of Kirksville; and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Shirley will be cremated following the service.
