Doris “Elaine” Nagel, 97, of Edina, Missouri, formerly of Hedge City, Missouri, passed away Thursday morning, September 28, 2023 peacefully at home with her family by her side.
The daughter of Brode and Beulah Parsons, she was born August 21, 1926, near Epworth, Missouri.
Elaine is survived by a daughter, Dillis Nagel of Columbia, Missouri; a sister, Erma Jean Dennis of Quincy, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; along with a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 75 years, John Nagel on April 6, 2019; a daughter Linda Kay; a son John Dwayne; a brother, Waymond and his wife Dorothy Parsons; a sister, Louise and her husband Hershel Bachman; and a brother-in-law, Orlando Dennis.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 1, 2023, with the family receiving friends from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Interment will be in the Mt. Salem Cemetery, north of Plevna, Missouri.
