NATIONAL LEAGUE
Philadelphia 6 – ATLANTA 5 (10 innings)… Bryson Stott delivered a tie-breaking two-run double in the bottom of the 10th inning and the Phillies hung on to edge the Braves. Nick Castellanos homered twice and drove in three runs as Philadelphia built a 4-0 lead that it couldn’t hold.
ARIZONA 7 – San Francisco 1… Merrill Kelly (12-7) held the Giants to a run on three hits over 6-2/3 innings and the Diamondbacks breezed to the win. Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte hit solo homers. Christian Walker and Gabriel Moreno each had three this and an RBI.
SAN DIEGO 3 – Colorado 2… Louis Campusano singled home the tying run and Ji Man Choi drove home the decisive run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Padres eased past the Rockies. Xavier Bogaerts went 3-for-4 and scored a run.
N.Y. Mets 8 – MIAMI 3… Mark Vientos homered twice with the bases empty and the Mets also got solo shots from Brett Baty and Brandon Nimmo in downing the Marlins. Kodai Senga (12-7) allowed two runs on seven hits over six innings.
Pittsburgh 13 – CHI. CUBS 7… Joshua Palacios belted a three-run homer to cap a seven-run top of the fourth inning and the Pirates slugged their way past the Cubs. Connor Joe had three hits, including a two-run homer. Jared Triolo also went deep.
Milwaukee 8 – ST. LOUIS 2… Josh Donaldson blasted a three-run homer in the top of the first inning to provide all the offense the Brewers needed in their pounding of the Cardinals. Tyrone Taylor hit a leadoff homer and Mark Canha cleared the bases with a double in the ninth.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
TEXAS 15 – Boston 5… Jonah Heim’s three-run homer sparked a six-run bottom of the fourth inning that erased a 4-0 deficit and sent the Rangers past the Red Sox. Josh Jung and Evan Carter hit two-run homers. Mitch Garver connected for a solo shot.
HOUSTON 2 – Baltimore 1… Mauricio Dubón singled home Yainer Diaz with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Astros pulled out a win over the Orioles. Dubón scored the tying run in the eighth on Jeremy Peña’s double.
KANSAS CITY 6 – Cleveland 2… Nelson Velázquez belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and the Royals never looked back in beating the Guardians. Bobby Witt Jr. had a couple of hits, including a run-scoring single.
Seattle 6 – OAKLAND 3… Dominic Canzone opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the top of the second inning and added a two-run double during a four-run fifth as the Mariners doubled up on the Athletics. Julio Rodríguez and Cal Raleigh hit back-to-back solo homers for Seattle.
L.A. Angels 8 – TAMPA BAY 3… The Angels jumped out to a 6-0 lead after their first two at-bats and coasted past the Rays. Brandon Drury had three hits, including a pair of homers, and knocked in five runs.
Toronto 6 – N.Y. YANKEES 1… Kevin Gausman (12-9) tossed three-hit ball and struck out 10 over six scoreless innings and the Blue Jays rolled past the Yankees. Spencer Horwitz drew a bases-loaded walk and singled home two runs.
INTERLEAGUE
Minnesota 5 – CINCINNATI 3… Jorge Polanco stroked a tie-breaking two-run single in the top of the ninth inning to cap a three-run uprising and lift the Twins over the Reds. Willi Castro’s solo homer in the seventh put Minnesota on the board.
WASHINGTON 13 – Chi. White Sox 3… Lane Thomas unloaded a grand slam to highlight the Nationals’ destruction of the White Sox. Joey Menesez hit a two-run homer. Domonic Smith also went deep for Washington. Josiah Gray (8-12) surrendered a run on five hits over five innings.
Detroit 4 – L.A. DODGERS 2… Reese Olson (5-7) held the Dodgers to a run on two hits over six innings and the Tigers salvaged the series finale. Tyler Nevin had a couple of hits and singled home a run.
