NATIONAL LEAGUE
PITTSBURGH 5 – Washington 1… Bailey Falter (2-8) allowed just a run on four hits over six innings and the Pirates breezed past the Nationals. Joshua Palacios provided all the offense Pittsburgh needed with a two-run homer in the bottom of the second inning.

Atlanta 7 – PHILADELPHIA 6 (10 innings)… The Braves outlasted the Phillies after blowing a five-run seventh-inning lead. Eddie Rosario singled home Forrest Wall with the decisive run in the top of the 10th inning. Matt Olson led off the fourth with his 51st homer. Ronald Acuña Jr. homered with a runner aboard and Marcell Ozuna cracked a three-run homer.

N.Y. METS 7 – Arizona 4… Pete Alonso and Ronny Mauricio hit two-run homers, Francisco Alvarez homered to lead off the eighth and the Mets beat the Diamondbacks. José Butto (1-2) allowed a run on two hits over five innings.

MILWAUKEE 3 – Miami 1… The Brewers eased past the Marlins after spotting them an early run. Josh Donaldson cracked a go-ahead solo homer in the bottom of the fourth inning. Freddy Peralta (12-8) held Miami to a run on two hits over 6-1/3 innings.

COLORADO 6 – Chi. Cubs 4… Kris Bryant stroked a two-run single and homered with the bases empty in leading the Rockies past the Cubs. Elias Diaz had three hits, including an RBI single.

L.A. DODGERS 11 – San Diego 2… Freddie Freeman went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and four runs scored to lead the Dodgers in their thrashing of the Padres. Will Smith blasted a three-run homer. Lance Lynn (11-11) gave up two runs on five hits over seven innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
N.Y. Yankees 3 – BOSTON 2… DJ LeMahieu doubled home a run and Gleyber Torres stroked a two-run single as the Yankees scored all three runs in the top of the sixth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit and down the Red Sox in the doubleheader opener. Kyle Higashioka went 3-for-4 with an RBI double.

N.Y. Yankees 4 – BOSTON 1… The Yankees handled the Red Sox to complete a sweep of the twinbill. Carlos Rodón (3-5) allowed just a run on four hits over five innings. Gleyber Torres had a couple of hits, including an RBI single.

CHI. WHITE SOX 6 – Kansas City 2… Gavin Sheets singled home two runs during a five-run bottom of the first inning and the White Sox coasted past the Royals in the opener of a doubleheader. Dylan Cease (7-7) gave up a run on four hits over 5-1/3 innings.

Kansas City 11 – CHI. WHITE SOX 10… The Royals escaped with a split of the twinbill after blowing a 9-0 lead after five innings. Bobby Witt Jr.’s sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning brought home Dairon Blanco with a decisive run. Michael Massey blasted a three-run homer. Salvador Perez produced a pair of run-scoring singles. Logan Porter singled home two runs.

Texas 6 – TORONTO 3… Robbie Grossman opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the top of the fourth inning and the Rangers went on to double up on the Blue Jays.  Corey Seager went for-4 with an RBI double. Max Scherzer (13-6) pitched three-hit ball over 5-1/3 innings.

MINNESOTA 3 – Tampa Bay 2… Willi Castro hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Twins hung on to edge the Rays. Edouard Julien also went deep for Minnesota.

Oakland 6 – HOUSTON 2… The Athletics got a two-run homer from Shea Langeliers and a solo shot from Tony Kemp in breezing past the Astros. Seth Brown lined two run-scoring doubles. JP Sears (5-11) allowed two runs on five hits over six innings.

SEATTLE 8 – L.A. Angels 0… Bryan Woo (3-4) blanked the Angels on four hits over six innings and two relievers finished off the shutout. J.P. Crawford cleared the bases with a double. Eugenio Suárez hit a solo homer.

INTERLEAGUE
St. Louis 5 – BALTIMORE 2… Richie Palacios hit a pair of solo homers, Paul Goldschmidt also went deep and the Cardinals topped the Orioles. Adam Wainwright (4-11) surrendered two runs on seven hits over five innings and notched his 199th career victory.

Cincinnati 6 – DETROIT 5 (10 innings)… Tyler Stephenson singled home Noelvi Marte with a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning and the Reds made it stand in outlasting the Tigers. TJ Friedl and Jonathan India hit two-run singles. Harrison Bader doubled home two runs.

Cleveland 3 – SAN FRANCISCO 1… Tyler Freeman came through with a tie-breaking two-run single in the top of the sixth inning and the Guardians held off the Giants. Cal Quantrill (3-6) allowed a run on five hits over six innings.
